Just an update on the flooding, which only affects me working (though I have days off right now), not where I live. The road was still closed last night when I went by, but the water has gone down abit from what I could tell. It's still raining though so I'm not sure what will happen, or what the condition of the store is, but it's on a bit of a hill so hopefully the water hasn't gone high enough to flood it.
Description: There is a state of emergency tonight in Duncan, North Cowichan , and Cowichan Tribal Lands - where flooding has forced hundreds of people out of their homes. It is the worst flooding in the Cowichan Valley in a generation. Days of rain combined with a high tide sent the Cowichan and Koksilah Rivers over their banks.
